Indoor Cats

Indoor Cats at Clarence Brown Lab Theatre

Filmmaker Jules is recently dumped, creatively stuck, and hiding at her parents' cabin in Central Pennsylvania when the world begins shutting down. Then a neighbor pulls her into the strange business of making films for cats. Indoor Cats, a new comedy by Mora V. Harris, comes to Clarence Brown Lab Theatre in Knoxville on Wednesday, March 3, 2027, at 7:30 PM. Follow one artist's attempt to make sense of desire, art, and a moment when nothing feels certain.

Director Daniel Bird Tobin leads a production described as wry, original, and wonderfully strange. The play offers humor alongside honest questions about what happens when creativity collides with loneliness and the unexpected. If you're drawn to theater that feels specific rather than formulaic, this production gives you a reason to spend your Wednesday at the Lab Theatre instead of scrolling at home.

Invite someone who appreciates theater that surprises them. A friend who values new voices over revivals. A partner willing to take a chance on a comedy that refuses to follow the usual script. Planning the evening together gives you both something to anticipate and a reason to leave the house midweek.

Give yourself permission to see something unfamiliar. Explore ticket options for Indoor Cats and put a Wednesday night at the theater on your calendar.
