Gary Owen

Gary Owen at Knoxville Civic Auditorium

Gary Owen has spent more than two decades turning everyday absurdities into comedy that travels. He brings that observational style to Knoxville Civic Auditorium on Friday, March 19, 2027, at 8:00 PM. If you've been waiting for a reason to see a touring headliner who doesn't soften the edges, this is your occasion.

Owen's material pulls from his military years, family life and the social moments most comedians avoid. That willingness to step into uncomfortable territory has built him a fanbase across social media and driven demand for his live dates. Beyond the stage, he's appeared in films including Ride Along, Think Like a Man and Daddy Day Care, and recorded specials such as Black Famous and Gary Owen…No S. The credits offer background, but the appeal is simple: you're choosing a comic who isn't careful.

A Friday show gives you a reason to close the work week with someone whose sense of humor matches yours. Invite a friend who appreciates sharp observational comedy or a partner willing to laugh at the absurd. You don't need a special celebration to make plans. The performance gives you the occasion.
