aurorawave at Open Chord Music
Heavy guitar meets reggae rhythm. Aurorawave calls it reggaecore, and it's a hybrid built for people who want music with bite and groove in equal measure. The band plays Open Chord Music in Knoxville on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, at 8:00 PM. If you've been waiting for something that doesn't fit the usual rock or reggae box, this is the show that rewards your curiosity.
Aurorawave spent their career building bridges between subcultures. Their debut album introduced a sound shaped by collaborations with members of The Ghost Inside, Atreyu and Attila. Monument, released in 2025, brought in Aaron Gillespie of Underoath, Frankie Palmeri of Emmure and artists like Jesse Royal and The Movement. Those recorded collaborations show how broadly the band draws its influences.
Live sets translate studio detail into something immediate. The band has built a reputation for connecting across genre lines, delivering performances that keep the crowd engaged without losing the music's emotional urgency. A Wednesday night at Open Chord Music gives you a reason to step out mid-week and make room for something different.
