Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia! at Tennessee Theatre

A bride-to-be. A mother with a secret. Three men who might be the father. Mamma Mia! arrives at Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville on Sunday, February 21, 2027, at 7:00 PM. If you've ever wondered what ABBA's catalog would sound like woven into a story about family and second chances, this musical offers an answer. The songs you recognize become part of a plot that asks what happens when the past shows up uninvited.

The musical unfolds on a Greek island where sunlight and ABBA hits set the stage for Sophie's search for her father. Her mother Donna's old diary reveals three possibilities, and Sophie invites all three to her wedding without telling anyone. For over 25 years, audiences have responded to the way this story mixes humor, heart and a daughter's need to know where she comes from. The appeal rests on characters you can follow and music that gives their choices emotional weight.

Bring someone who would enjoy a musical built around songs they already love. A friend who sings along to ABBA in the car. A parent who remembers when those records first played. An evening at the theater gives you a reason to spend time together, and this production offers a story designed to send you home smiling.

Turn a Sunday night into a theater outing with a feel-good musical at its center. Explore ticket options for Mamma Mia! in Knoxville and plan an evening built around ABBA, laughter and a wedding you won't forget.
